A cob house in brittany

Cob house extension

Brittanny,France

55m2

Foundations  are out of stones, major part of walls are made in cob (earth and straw), highest part made out of straw and earth melted and hanged off on a wood structure and some rammed clay in some specific parts .

The timber's logs are coming from the next forest and are hidden in the walls.

It took 18 m3 of clay coming from a close field and a year to finish it.

Plasters are waxed and have got marble in it.

big round windows are made by double glasses inlaid in earth!

So simple!
